Overview
This policy explains how Blood Pressure App | BP Record (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information.
- Your health data is stored only on your device. We never receive or access it.
- There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
- If you subscribe, the only information that reaches us is whether that subscription is active, which plan it is, and an anonymous identifier that keeps it working on your device.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
What the app stores on your device
All of this is saved in the app’s private storage, is never transmitted, and is not attached to any purchase:
- Readings you log — blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar, blood oxygen, and the wellness scores derived from a recording — with any tags and notes you add.
- Profile details you choose to enter: gender, age, weight and height.
- Preferences such as language, appearance, units, and reminder times.
What the app does not collect
The app contains no code that collects any of the following, on any screen or at any point:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- Your location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or any file outside the app.
- Advertising identifiers. The app never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it has nothing to track.
- Analytics, crash-reporting, or attribution data of any kind.
Camera and notifications
- The heart-rate feature uses the rear camera and flash to read the pulse in your fingertip. Frames are processed live on your device and no image or video is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- The camera is active only while you are on the measurement screen.
- Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. There is no push server, and no push token is ever sent.
- iOS asks permission for both, and you can withdraw either at any time in iOS Settings.
Subscriptions and payments
Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, and the only part of your use of the app that exists anywhere but your device. Apple handles payment, so we never see your card, billing address, or Apple ID.
- We can see whether your subscription is active and whether the plan is weekly or yearly. Nothing else.
- To keep that status current the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management provider acting on our behalf. It receives a random identifier for this installation, the App Store receipt, and basic details such as app version, platform and country — never your name, your email, or any health data. Its policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Where the GDPR applies, we process this to perform our contract with you and on our legitimate interest in operating the subscription. Device permissions rest on your consent.
- If you never subscribe, none of this information is created or sent.
When information leaves your device
- Health data leaves only if you export it yourself. Export hands a file to the iOS share sheet; where it goes next — Mail, AirDrop, Files — is your choice, and that app’s terms govern it.
- Subscription information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat in the United States and other countries, relying on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard where European or UK law requires one.
- We may disclose information where the law compels it, such as a court order. We cannot disclose your health data, because we do not have it.
- If the app is sold or merged, subscription information may transfer with it, and this policy would be updated before anything changed.
Retention, deletion and security
- Deleting a reading removes it permanently. Deleting the app removes everything it ever stored, with no copy anywhere else.
- Your data sits in the app’s private container, protected by iOS file protection and your device passcode. Keeping a passcode set and iOS current is the most effective safeguard.
- Subscription records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as needed to service the subscription and meet tax and accounting obligations.
- No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — though your health data cannot be exposed by a breach of our systems, since it never reaches them.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and under the California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas privacy laws — you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and not to be treated differently for exercising them.
- Because your health data lives on your device, you exercise access, correction, deletion and portability yourself, in the app, without asking us.
- For subscription information, contact us and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. You may use an authorised agent where your law permits.
- We do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
- You may complain to your local supervisory authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. There is no account to create and no data sent to us, so we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will act on it.
Other services
The app links to external sites, such as our subscription provider’s policy. Those sites are outside our control and have their own policies. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app develops. The date above reflects the current revision, material changes appear in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the app means you accept the revised policy.
Governing language
This policy is written in English and translated for your convenience. If a translation differs from the English text, the English version is the one that applies.
